This is a piece made because of the incredible concert, Dreamwaves by Satish Vyas. The first layer of mylar represents the santoor because of the complex and fluid notes. The underlying layer is the tabla, the percussion beat of the music which at times has a rounded sound then other times is very intense and abrupt. The charcoal sections represent the crowd clapping and the little drawings are meant to be people in the crowd yelling out. I loved making this project because I love this song so much. I had difficulty at the beginning especially with size and my concept of layering but I am happy with the outcome.

This was a great drawing… I am glad you allowed yourself to investigate that entire concert and really dive into it. i can only imagine how challenging that must have been.

I liked the drawing. It was real. Definitely a true study of that song.
The class was also impressed and could sense your passion.

    superb!
